During the 2019 Annecy Festival, we held our first Animation Bootcamp in Europe at Les Papeteries. This year, we are taking the workshop online for those of you who want to express art in the form of drawings.

We will take three steps in this process with clear goals set for each milestone and highlight the elements that need to be examined. Going through this course will give you a better grasp of what it takes to make expression through drawings possible.

  1. What makes a pose convincing? >> Center of Gravity (Weight + Balance)
  2. How can a pose express movement? >> Rhythm (Tempo + Accent)
  3. How is a character’s attitude expressed in drawings?

These ideas will be presented by a veteran of the Japanese animation industry with pictures and animation examples to induce exciting discoveries about this craft.
* MIFA badge holders only.
